CONTROL SYSTEMS PARTNERSHIP YIELDS COMPLETE NETWORK COST RECOVERY SOLUTION FOR
DOCUMENT CENTRE CUSTOMERS
Lasertrak Pro to Provide Complete Cost Recovery Solution for New Xerox Network
Document Centre 220 and 230 products
A certification partnership between Xerox Inc. and Control Systems Inc. will give
customers a complete and accurate solution for charge-back of expenses. The announcement,
made at the National Association of Legal Administrators Trade Show and convention
means that Xerox Document Centre customers will now be able to combine the full
capabilities of their networked Xerox technology with a comprehensive cost recovery
system that increases the ROI for customers using Document Centre equipment in
their ongoing business operations.
Xerox has certified Control Systems Lasertrak Pro software system for the network
version of their popular Document Centre 220 and 230 products. Results from the
testing are expected to give Xerox customers using Copitrak CFX terminals and
Lasertrak Pro software the capability to capture and recover all costs for walk-up
copying, faxing and scanning and network printing and faxing. The combination
of Copitrak terminals and Lasertrak Software work in harmony with the Document
Centre products to ensure total system productivity and complete cost recovery.

The Copitrak CFX terminal is mounted on the Document Centre unit and controls
walk-up usage for both copying and faxing and requires only the entry of a valid
user I.D and account code. The CFX terminal facilitates simultaneous copying and
faxing as well as the posting of up to 100 customer defined miscellaneous charges
such as scanning and media print.
At the network level, Lasertrak Pro captures the number of pages requested for
any print job. A simple pop-up screen prompts the user for a valid account code.
Lasertrak Pro automatically counts the pages for accurate billing. Lasertrak Pro
resides at the client P.C. level, is both server and network independent and operates
in Windows NT, 95/98, 3.x and supports both PCL and Postscript languages. Word
Perfect print drivers are also supported. Lasertrak Pro is the only Xerox certified
cost recovery software to operate in all the above mentioned environments.
